Who will qualify for the next round of the UEFA Champions League?

The group stage of the champions league this season has been fantastic. We have seen some breathtaking results from various groups over the last two game weeks. Game week 3 lived up to the billing and in some groups, it is delicately poised ahead of the next three rounds of matches.

Liverpool seems to be getting their Champions League mojo back after their win against Ajax in game week 2. They defeated Rangers by 2 goals to nil. In the same group, Napoli looked unstoppable as they walloped Dutch champions Ajax by 6 goals to 1. Belgian club Club Brugge continued their unbeaten run in the Champions League this season by defeating Atletico Madrid by 2 goals to 1. They sit on top of their group ahead of the next three rounds of games.

German heavyweight Bayern Munich continued their unbeaten run in the Champions League this season as they cruised past Victoria Plzen 5 goals to nil. Italian team Inter Milan ground out a 1-nil win against Barcelona to condemn the Spanish club to their second defeat in 3 Champions League games this season. 

Chelsea and new manager Graham Potter won their game against Italian league champions A.C Milan by 3 goals to nil to move them to second in their group. Last season’s UCL champions Real Madrid show no signs of slowing down as they cruised past Shakhtar Donetsk by 2 goals to 1 and remain top of their group unbeaten also. 

English champions Manchester City continued their impressive form in the Champions League by demolishing FC Kobenhavn by 5 goals to nil. In the same group, Borrusia Dortmund mauled FC Sevilla by 4 goals to 1. Immediately after that game, Julien Lopetegui the manager of Sevilla was relieved of his duties. 

Paris St Germain was held to a 1-1 draw by Benfica and in the same group, Juventus cruised past Israeli team Maccabi Haifa. Paris Saint Germain top the group, Benfica in second and Juventus in third. 

The next round of matches starts on Tuesday 11th of October.
