Nigerian Twitter space confessions!

If you understand the dynamics of the Twitter.NG, you will agree that the Nigerian Twitter space is a world of it’s own and you can NEVER see it all.

In this edition of twitter confessions, we review some clothing items that Nigerian men hate to see women wear:

1. Hair Nets

From the days of old, the hair net has been coming through for Nigerian women so much so that even with the advent of the hair bonnet, many women still refuse to let go.

Sadly, most Nigerian men don’t relate and we think we might know why. Legend has it that a good number of Nigerian men have been suffocated to death by the characteristic foul odor emitted by most hair nets.

2. Gladiator Sandals

Gladiator sandals came, saw and conquered–at least around the year 2015. The years have seen their popularity die down and Gladiator sandals that were must-haves some years ago are what many people call old fashioned today. Nigerian men seem to think slot of women are yet to get the memo.

3. Wrappers

Granted, most millennial men have zero tolerance towards their women tying wrappers. However, there’s something about women tying their wrappers like this that doesn’t sit well with a good number of Nigerian men.

Talk about giving secondary school hostel vibes.

4. Knicker Panties

Also known as Grandma panties, knicker panties apparently drive a lot of Nigerian men crazy (and not in a good way). Unfortunately, we can’t say more than this.

5. ‘That’ Skirt

According to statistics, about 99.9% of women in Nigeria own or once owned this skirt and apparently men hate it. We can’t see why though, it’s beautiful (inserts moon emoji).

#Updated brings you lists, roundups and the latest news on the hottest topics. In this edition, we review five clothing items that Nigerian men hate to see women wear according to a twitter survey.
