Summer 2022 transfer window
Summer transfers in the European football market officially opened on the 1st of June and some mind-blowing transfer deals have already been concluded. It is barely 2 weeks into the transfer period and you can bet that there will be more movements and shocking transfer deals.
Anyway, let’s take you through some of the already completed transfer deals:
1. Darwin Nunez To Liverpool
Darwin Nunez is a Uruguayan striker who plays as a forward for Benefica and the Uruguay national team. He agreed to sign for Liverpool for a rather hefty transfer fee. He will officially join Liverpool on the first of July, 2022. Coincidentally, Manchester United was also interested in him but pulled out at the last minute. He is 23 years old.
2. Erling Haaland To Manchester City
Erling Haaland is a Norwegian footballer who plays as a striker for Borussia Dortmund and the the Norway national team. There were so many speculations about which club he would eventually sign for before the window opened. He eventually chose the blue side of Manchester, Manchester City; which isn’t exactly surprising since his father also played for Manchester City.
3. Antonio Rudiger To Real Madrid
Antonio Rüdiger is a professional footballer who plays as a centre-back for Chelsea and the Germany national team. His transfer is probably the most surprising transfer this summer not because he went to Real Madrid but because they signed him as a free agent. He opted not to renew his contract with Chelsea because they couldn’t reach an agreement. In the last 2 seasons, he has been regarded as one of the best defenders in the world .
4. Aurelien Tchouameni To Real Madrid
Aurélien Tchouaméni is a French footballer who plays as a defensive midfielder for Monaco and the France national team. He is probably one of the best young midfielders in the world and Madrid have secured his signature for the next 5 seasons. Real Madrid seems to be snapping up all the good players this summer. Anyway, they signed him from A.S Monaco for a fee of almost 100 million Euros.
