Go and get your PVC

It is important for us to participate in the electoral processes, so we can vote for credible leaders to oversee our nation’s affairs. The opening move is for us to get our Permanent Voters Card (PVC) and then participate in the upcoming elections.

In a bid to ensure that all public workers get their PVCs before the deadline of July 31st, the governor of Lagos State Mr. Babajide Sanwo Olu has declared 4 workfree days for all public workers.

The 4 days are Tuesday 26th of July till Friday 29th of July 2022. All public workers are exempted from work and are expected to complete their PVC registration and collection process respectively.

The state’s head of service, Mr. Muri-Okunola disclosed this on Monday, 25th of July, in a statement where he emphasized that after the exercise, the officers are expected to return to work with their PVCs.

He outlined the process for the work exemption days; on Tuesday 26th of July, all public workers on grade levels 1, 3, 7, and 15 are exempted from work. On Wednesday 27th of July, workers on grade levels 2, 4, 8, and 13 are exempted from work. On Thursday 28th of July, workers on grade levels 5, 9, 12, and 17 are exempted from work. On Friday 29th of July, workers on grade levels 6, 10, 14, and 16 are exempted from work.

He stated that being part of the electoral process was a civic right and he fully expects all public workers to take part in it.
