Odogwu doings meets receipts?
If we were to pick a background m usic for the tug of war between Papaya Ex and Gistlover, it would be that Wizkid song with the, “2 seconds, everything don burst o” lyrics.
It has been a tug of war for a while now between social media influencer, Papaya Ex and the popular anonymous blogger, Gistlover.
We would be remiss to not state that a lot of fans on both sides have caught strays and pepper in their eyes since the gbas gbos between Oba and Paps Nation began.
The Domino Effect Trigger
The trouble started from the last week of May. Papaya Ex, also known as Big Paps, Abike Arab Money, took to Instagram to celebrate herself for two ‘odogwu doings’. The first doing was buying a Land Cruiser Toyota Prado for her mum, and the second was reaching 1 million followers on Instagram.
Well, that followers’ party started the domino effect. See, Papaya Ex pulled some odogwu doings that choked a lot. She celebrated it with 5 million naira worth of cake, a brand new Lexus car and about 20 iPhones as giveaway prizes for her fans. It was lit lit.
But, the kasala burst when it was time for Papaya to select the winner of the car. The contestants knelt down while she rubbed her hands over their heads. People made a big issue out of this, stating it was fetish–she was wearing a traditional attire.
Gistlover joins in the dragging
Papaya Ex was still quenching the fire her car giveaway caused when Gistlover decided to add more petrol.
On Monday evening while people were resting from the day’s work, Gistlover posted a video where a woman was accusing Papaya of having an extramarital affair with her EFCC-wanted husband. The anonymous blogger also claimed it was the said husband, who happens to be a G-Boy, that has been funding Big Paps lifestyle.
What shocked most people the most shocking was how Gistlover was able to dig up Papaya Ex’s primary school yearbook. Fear humans 🙂.
Big Paps Fires Back
Well, Big Paps was not having any of it. She cleared Gistlover that the woman accusing her staged the whole thing. And moreover she can suck whatever D pleases her. Big Paps basically told Gistlover to stop playing!! 😱
She then used a video of her signing house documents at a construction site as bragging rights in the face of her haters.
Gistlover Opens Receipt Folder On Papaya Ex
We thought ojoro had canceled ojoro but Gistlover was apparently not done stirring the pot. Seeing that Papaya was not admitting to anything, the blogger opened the book of remembrance of her parents. She ‘revealed’ that her father was being neglected and that her mother moved shady with notable people of Oyo state.
The Plot Thickens…
Papaya sent the claim back to the sender stating the late king of Oyo was her grandpa. Few days later, she revealed an interesting brouhaha. The gist was that a woman who had paid for adverts a while ago came as a Gistlover informant to her house.
The woman used her IG page to clear the claims, warning Papaya to not use her to do damage control. All in all, everything is pepper scatter scatter.
Next Move?
Papaya has not addressed Gistlover on her page since her mom’s housewarming. And Gistlover has not broken any other tables about Big Paps either.
Should Gistlover stop playing (as Papaya likes to say) or should Papaya stay ready for Oba violence?
