Labour Party’s OBIdients are not backing down!

In the last couple of days, we have seen the Presidential and Vice Presidential candidates of the Labour Party, Mr Peter Obi and Senator Datti Baba-Ahmed visit various states and meet with various political and community leaders. That can only mean one thing; “Campaign period is nigh”.

In a matter of days, there were pictures of both candidates with the Ooni of Ife, Sultan of Kano and also former head of states Olusegun Obasanjo, Ibrahim Babangida, and Abdusallam Abubakar. It is safe to say that their work rate is unrivalled.

Anyhow, while all this was going on, there was a ploy to make sure that the Labour party rally in Lagos State wouldn’t hold. It was taken to court and the case was heard on Wednesday 28th of September 2022. Sadly, the ploy failed and the presiding judge on the case, Judge Daniel Osiagor, ruled in favour of the Labour Party. So the rally will go on as planned.

The judge ruled that the supporters of the party can pass through whichever route they please including the Lekki toll gate. However, they must not converge at the toll gate. He also directed the Inspector-General of Police, Usman Baba, and the Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Abiodun Alabi, to ensure compliance with the order.

The rally is tagged the #ObiDatti23 Forward Ever rally. It is set to hold on the 1st of October 2022. Talks about the rally have been circulating on various social media platforms.
