Turn your feed into an information hub!

Social media has been around for quite a while now and over the years we have finally settled with what I call the big 3. The big 3 are three of the biggest social media platforms now: Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.

These platforms offer endless possibilities if utilized well. We have seen people meet their spouses on them, some got big job offers on some of these platforms, and some connect with people that become integral to their professional and personal lives.

Here are some useful tips on how to properly curate your social media feed for optimal usage:

Follow More Professional Accounts

Depending on whichever skill or profession you’re interested in, you should follow more professional accounts that share content and information about that skill or profession.

What this does is that it makes you abreast of whatever development is happening in the world of that skill or profession. You are also abreast of new trends in that field or new ways of achieving that skill.

Follow Personal Accounts Of Real People

One thing that has ravaged various social media platforms over the years is bot accounts. Bot accounts are accounts created without any verifiable identity, it could be anybody controlling such accounts. You shouldn’t follow accounts like that. You need to follow accounts of people with verifiable identities.

What this does for you is that you will be able to build your social media presence with organic followers and real people. It is easier to connect with actual people when you need them and some might even be invested in what you do and want to be part of it.

Engagement

Occasionally, you should engage with professionals or accounts that post about what you’re interested in. What this does is that the algorithm of whichever social media app you’re on will notice your engagements and only share content about what you’re interested in on your timeline.

Be Reasonably visible

As much as you want to see content according to your preference, you should also share content too. Sharing makes you visible to other accounts and it also helps you gain traction. You also have to make sure that you share only information that is verifiable and accurate.
