Secure the bag, brethren!

It’s not everyday that you land a job interview for your dream job. Here are five tips to ensure that you ace that job interview and grab that job.

job interview tips

1. Stage A Mock Interview

This is you being your own judge and asking questions that are most likely to be asked during the real interview. It is easier to answer your interviewer satisfactorily with practiced responses than racking your brain to answer questions you didn’t prepare for.

2. Showcase Your Strength

That interview might be the only chance you have to show that you deserve the job and the pay. If you don’t want your qualifications just sitting on the shelves, then you have to speak up and leave modesty at the door.

Tell them what you do best pertaining to the job description and highlight your strength without censor.

3. Have Questions Ready

It is highly probable that the interviewer will ask if you have questions. You should prepare a few relevant questions beforehand.

This tells the interviewer that you pay attention to detail and that you did your research about their company before the interview.

4. Make Eye Contact And Speak With Confidence

While answering and asking questions, make sure you keep making eye contact with your interviewer(s). Also, speak audibly and clearly.

This tells them that you are a confident person that can be trusted to get the work done.

5. Be Smart With The Salary Discussion

Yes, one of the major reasons you applied for the job is because you need the money. But, it would be a great misstep if you mention the salary before the interviewer does.

Allow the interviewer to mention the salary and do not give the impression that their pay is below your standard especially if it was clearly stated in the job ad.
