Hannah, the Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria!

Recently, model, actress, and “Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria” award winner Hannah Iribhogbe represented Nigeria at the Miss Universe pageant in New Orleans.

Although she placed 17th out of 83 participants, the last thing we felt was defeat. This is because the last time Nigeria was placed in the pageant was in 2001 when Agbani Darego came in 7th place, and there were no placements until Hannah happened.

The fast-rising 21-year-old from Edo, based in Dallas has brought Nigeria back into the spotlight and we’re here for it. Here are six things you should know about her:

1. She’s A Baddie

Everything about Hannah is baddie-centric from the low cut to the poses, outfit, and face beats that never flop.

For her, fashion and pageantry are beyond work, it is her.

2. She Speaks The Esan Dialect Fluently

Remember I said Hannah is a Dallas-based Edo girl? Well, it appears that distance got nothing on her.

Hannah speaks Esan, her traditional dialect, as though she never stepped out of the Nigerian soil and it’s mind-blowing.

3. She Loves To Travel

From her early years as a model, she’s talked about how she’d like to visit Greece and Seychelles.

From her early years as a model, she’s talked about how she’d like to visit Greece and Seychelles.

Now that she’s getting the big bag, she has visited her dream destinations more; through work and leisure.

Take this from someone who’s been living vicariously through her IG stories, Montana enjoys traveling.

4. She Is Interested in Politics

Beyond the glitz and glam of pageantry, there is an activist bone that is waiting for the right time. In a couple of her interviews, Montana spiritedly makes a case for women. She believes that the Nigerian political system isn’t receptive to women.

So, she aims to get her feet into the door someday. Some Queen shii right there!

5. Hannah Iribhogbe Is Also Montana Felix

Maybe you already know that, but for the people that don’t, Hannah  Iribhogbe is the same as Montana Felix.

Felix is her dad’s name while Montana is a moniker that has stuck since high school, and both form her IG handle. Hope this clears up the confusion.

6. She Is A Philanthropist

Lastly, Montana is big on philanthropy. She has two girls solely under her care (for sponsorship). She founded the Montana initiative that is reportedly catering to 10 million children in Africa.

She has also worked with many NGOs for fundraising, including Smile Train Africa, an NGO that caters to children suffering from cleft lips.
