Tiwa Savage is back!
2021 was a tough one for Tiwa Savage no doubt–what with harsh public scrutiny, the death of loved ones, and a sex scandal that caused her to lose endorsements with bigwigs like Cadbury, Glo, Pampers, etc.
Anyhow, when we say her comeback game is strong, best believe we are not just blowing smoke.
Behold, three hot cake endorsements that African bad gyal a.k.a Tiwa Savage has bagged this year.
1. Binance
Yes. The very first one for this year was the neck pressing collabo with one of the crypto front liners–Binance.
The news of this was passed down to us earthlings, in February, through her IG page with the hashtag #CryptoCelebAlert and a caption went something like: “A lot of people have been asking me to go into crypto, but I didn’t know anything about it. Do your research as I did”.
Yup!
2. Techno
Next was the Techno x Tiwa endorsement which came to our attention in June, shortly after Techno launched their Camon 19 smartphone.
Tiwa Savage and Techno both announced the collaboration–with a lot of Tiwa Jpegs–on their social media pages, making it the second deal that our Mavins queen inked this year.
3. M.A.C Cosmetics
This September, Tiwa Savage was unveiled as a Maker of M.A.C cosmetics. Yes! M.A.C freaking cosmetics, baby, and the first person of African descent to do so, too. Stop playing!
A little tea on M.A.C cosmetics? It is a 38-year-old Toronto-based brand that has only eight makers [the league Tiwa just joined] in the whole world.
These “makers” are chosen based on their passion for their craft (drama, music, dance, and even content creation). They get to work with beauty icons to make lipsticks according to the maker’s specifications.
So when you walk into any store and you see a bright red matte lipstick cocooned in a sunset gradient, with a sketched silhouette tone, know that our bold and daring Mavins Queen did all of that.
The lipsticks are now available for sale at Ikeja mall, and yes, you are welcome!
