Leave to live!

Leaving an abusive relationship or marriage is the most important step to surviving it. For most people, it is also the hardest. Everybody’s shouting “leave” on social media but how many understand how it feels to walk in your shoes?

How many can relate to the stigma? The pity on people’s faces? The pain of leaving the life you have always known behind? Not many can relate. Yet, with both options weighed, leaving wins again.

Here are four reasons why you must leave that abusive relationship today:

1. Your Abuser Will Never Stop

The reason why you think they will change is that they always have the best apologies lined up but take it from us, abusers never stop.

Their M.O is to pamper, punch, pamper. Rinse and repeat. Please, leave now that you can.

2. You May Lose Yourself If You Stay

What is worse than death? Existing when you are not alive. We understand that sometimes you are scared of them say them say and we will say this: let them say.

Some of them even have it worse than you. Pack those bags.

3. Your Abuser Will Live When You Are Long Dead

Think about that. You don’t leave, they beat you to death or abuse you till you become suicidal. One way or the other, you will be the one at loss.

Even if they go to jail for whatever they did to you, can that bring back the hope and dreams they beat out of you? No.

Leave to live!

4. The Pain You Will Cause Your Family

To wrap things up, think of your loved ones who have lived in misery seeing you go through all of that you have been through.

Think about how devastated they will be when your abuser eventually beats you to the grave. Leave to live!
