Who is Bumpa to African Business owners?
Bumpa is a digital commerce platform for African sellers. It empowers merchants to promote their products online, track and manage orders, take care of inventory and deliveries.
Before the Meta collaboration, Bumpa was already a big deal–the king of social commerce in Africa–because of how it facilitates the smooth running of businesses.
Earlier this month, Bumpa announced that it would be integrating with the tech giant, Meta. They have added a new feature to the Bumpa platform–one that promises to be an ultimate game changer for African business owners. This feature will enable users to manage their direct messages from Instagram, Facebook and Whatsapp on Bumpa’s platform without having to go to any of the three Meta platforms.
This means that business owners using Bumpa can now connect their instagram business accounts to the Bumpa platform and all their DMs will be visible on Bumpa. They can respond to the messages via Bumpa.
Social commerce is becoming a big deal in Africa. With Meta arguably controlling almost half of the traffic in the world, accumulating close to 5 billion users across three of their platforms. The partnership with Meta could speed up Bumpa’s sales process, it could also improve their customer care response time and their feedback process.
Bumpa released a video on Instagram and Twitter to inform its users about this collaboration as well as instructions on how they can implement it.
