Family Feud Nigeria is live!
If you’re yet to hear, we are excited to be the ones to break the news to you. Family Feud, one of America’s hottest game shows, hosted by Steve Harvey, now has a Nigerian version. Yup!
On October 7–after many months of working behind the scenes–MTN and Ultima, the sponsors and producers of Family Feud Nigeria respectively, held an industry event to mark the show’s premiere and aired a mock episode that featured two families battling for the ultimate prize of 5million naira.
Five million naira? We love the sound of that! But that’s just one of many things we love about Family Feud Nigeria. Here are five more things that are doing it for us:
1. Family Feud Nigeria Is Convenient
To begin with, not many Nigerians can say they ever saw themselves being a part of Family Feud without having to travel out of the country.
Well, thanks to MTN and Ultima, all you need to do to be on the Family Feud Show Nigerian version is text FF to 205, by yourself, without boarding a plane. This show is just another testament to the fact that Nigeria is going places.
2. A Host That Is The Life Of The Party
This may very well be the highlight of this piece. The host is Bisola Aiyeola. As in Bisola BBNAIJA. Comedian Bisola. Ment Bisola? Can it get any better?
Whatever you are expecting, we would have you know that Bisola will exceed your expectations.
3. The Perfect Timing
Another thing we love about this show is its timing–hot on the heels of the Big Brother Naija reality TV show.
Whether you were already anticipating boredom with the end of Mr Ikoyi and Phyna or you refused to watch the show because of your church mind, Family Family Nigeria is here to serve you content on another level.
No dull moment.
4. The Three-Part Prize Category
The show has three prize categories namely: the TV show prize (where your family can win at least 2.5M), the Home Play Prize (where you can win up to 20k by answering the weekly home quiz question), and the Family Feud Digital Game (which you can play on your mobile device from Monday to Friday to win 10k).
Imagine!
the best part is that even if your family loses the game, you can still get a cash prize depending on the number of points you have on the ground. See, everything about the show is just giving.
5. Nigerian Families Are Never Short Of Drama
Nigerians are the real Family Feud. We can only hope one Nigerian mother doesn’t award one of their kids a stinking slap for getting an answer wrong.
In essence, this show promises to bring the drama and craze that Nigerian families display unprovoked.
We are here for it all.
