What’s draining your energy?
There are things we call energy takers–things that work toward draining your energy. These things can grow from being minor to becoming major concerns if they’re not taken care of.
If you want to feel better and know where the problem is coming from, stick around to the end of this article:
1. A Lack Of Sleep
When you’re not getting enough rest, it will show on your body. Pulling all-nighters consistently will leave you feeling tired and unable to work.
It is up to you to make the situation better by working on your daily routine and adjusting it so it works better. Make sure you’re conscious of the time you spend working and the time you go to sleep every day.
2. Staying focused on the past
Elsa sang Let it go in Frozen and as much as it was about her powers, it was mostly about her past. Keeping a focus on the past will only keep you from seeing what is yet to come.
You never know how tomorrow is going to be and as much as yesterday was a lesson, it is your effort that will breed different results for today.
3. Clutter
This can apply to both mental clutter and physical clutter. Clutter clouds the mind and makes it impossible to concentrate. Usually, until you declutter, you might not find the zeal to do other things you want to do.
It’s the guilt of the clutter that prevents you from being able to do other things. So, start small. Mental clutter can be let go of by journaling and physical clutter by tidying up.
4. Overworking
To fight the spirit of Sapa, many Nigerians have taken it upon themselves to make sure they avoid the Sapa plague by all means. Often this is at the expense of their wellbeing. They work so hard and push themselves past their limits.
When you work make sure to take breaks. Your body is your personal garden and from time to time, you may need to trim the bushes, let it breathe and water it. Be kind to yourself.
