Pay for your streaming services with ease!
It is fascinating how fast times have changed. We’ve transitioned from downloading songs from sites like NotJustok to listening to these songs on music streaming platforms. It’s no different with movies, we went from buying DVDs to Netflixing and chilling.
Streaming services seem to be the way forward, the future of music and movies. Nigeria hasn’t been left out, in the last couple of years we’ve seen various streaming services make their services available to Nigerians. We have Netflix, YouTube music, Spotify, and most recently Amazon prime videos. We hope Disney plus joins the party sometime soon.
For the most part, the prices of subscriptions for these platforms are pretty fair for the average Nigerian. One major issue, however, has been paying for these services (most Nigerian debit cards don’t work on these platforms). Some Nigerian fintech companies solved this problem by issuing virtual dollar cards that could work on of the platforms. Sadly, weeks ago most of those virtual cards stopped working.
One fintech fortunately still has a functioning Virtual card and that fintech is “Chippercash”. The Chippercash app is on the google play store, download the app and then proceed to register on it–this shouldn’t take more than a few minutes. Then you can request a virtual Naira card (not a dollar card) on the app. The KYC (Know Your Customer) for the Naira card will require you to input some personal information to verify your identity. When all that is done, you’ll await verification which shouldn’t take more than 24 hours. You also need to complete the KYC on the app so they can give you a personalized account number to fund your Wallet on the app.
After the Verification is confirmed, then you can claim the Virtual Naira card at Zero cost. Fund your wallet and you can use the funds in your wallet to fund the card. You can now use the card information to pay for any of the streaming services.
