What does Apple have in store?
Big tech manufacturer Apple had its September event a few days ago and they unveiled some of their new devices and accessories. The event featured a detailed explanation of what to expect from Apple’s new line of devices and accessories. The new devices that were released by Apple are the iPhone 14, iPhone 14 plus, iPhone 14 pro, and the iPhone 14 pro max.
The major difference between the iphone 14 and 14 plus is just the size, the 14 is 6.1 inches while the 14 Plus is 6.7 inches which is massive for an apple device. However, there is no major difference between the iPhone 14 and the iPhone 13 in terms of design. To be honest, they both have the same chip, the same notch design and in fact, the case for one might just fit the other perfectly.
Apart from coming in new colors, the iPhone 14 also has some pretty new features; in the United States, all the new iPhone 14 will come without a sim tray. The iPhone is moving all its new phones in the United States to electronic sims. The iPhone 14 also has the new satellite connectivity feature. If you are in an area that doesn’t have network connectivity and you need to send an emergency message, you can do that with this new feature. This is a really helpful feature especially in severe emergency cases.
The iPhone 14 also has a slight change in the display which is much brighter than the previous one. The camera system of the iPhone 14 is also different and it now has a new 12MP selfie camera.
For the iPhone 14 pro and 14 pro max, they have the same sizes as the 14 and 14 plus respectively. They also have some of the cool features of the 14 and 14 plus like satellite connectivity as well as a few more specifications that make them rather unique. They have a new A16 Bionic chip which is Apple’s latest mobile chip which is more efficient than the other chips. The display of the 14 pro and 14 pro max is slightly upgraded and better than the 14 and 14 plus. The camera of the 14 pro and pro max is also larger and better, it has a new 48MP main camera sensor.
The last feature which I found very fascinating is something called “Dynamic Island”. Apple got rid of the former notch design and managed to shrink all the selfie camera and face ID systems into a pill-shaped design right at the top of the screen in the 14 pro and 14 pro max.
The fascinating thing about this new pill-shaped design is that Apple added some really cool UI designs to make it extend, shrink or make other interactions depending on which notifications you receive on the phone and which app sent the notification. This feature makes the phone feel alive in some way.
For the accessories that were released, there’s the Apple AirPods Pro which has the same design as the previous one but has a new chip, new battery life, and better active noise cancellation. There’s also a new case, and a speaker beneath the case that emits a loud sound when you need to find it. The new case also supports MagSafe charging which is absolutely cool.
They also released three new watches Apple watch SE, Apple watch series 8 and Apple watch Ultra. The Ultra is the main deal of all three with the biggest and brightest display ever in an Apple watch. It has a new water resistance feature that can go as deep as 100metres.
There’s also has this new feature where you can add waypoints to your compass app to navigate your way when you get lost and the battery is much better.
