8 unGlamourous questions!
We’ll start with the honey, Glamour Girls lived up to its name in terms of glamour. The movie was all things glitz and glamour, so much so that we were reminded of Bobrisky’s wise words, “Good girl no dey pay.”
Now down to the vinegar, the screenplay had a lot of cliffhanger moments that led to some questions we were hoping to have answered before the two hour movie ended. Questions we still find ourselves asking even this very moment.
1. Trenches To Brit In 6 Months?
Maybe we are projecting, but wasn’t originality the goal from the beginning of the movie with Emma’s kobo-kobo prostitute makeup?
Why then did they refuse to do the same in her trenches grammar – posh grammar transition? The grammar revamp would have definitely settled well if she had started out with constructing straight sentences and not just going all Queen Elizabeth on us in 6 months.
Well ‘To God Be The Glory’, what else can we say though?
3. Zeribe-Emma affair?
If it wasn’t so hard we guess we’d have joined Sheggy and the producers to pretend as Sheggy didn’t know that Emma(Sharon Ooja) and Zeribe were sleeping with each other right under his roof.
4. What Did Aaron See?
Yes. What exactly did Aaron see in the closet? C’mon, we are seeing this movie to be entertained and maybe learn one or two lessons- not to to play inspector Chicago.
And the scenes with Jemma, Alex and Ese? These are the scenes that could have been played out.
5. What Did Donna Expect From Begging Eva?
Openly shagging someone’s husband and running to them for help has got to be one of the funniest and most annoying scenes from that movie.
Okay, maybe money openeth all doors–how benevolent of her to share advice that lead to a dead end.
6. Why The Multiple Flash Drives?
From two flash drives–one with audio 21 billion dollars and the one with the “password”–to three flash drives after chief came in and *skip skip*, Zeribe was searched and arrested.
Then, Donna produces another flash from under her wig after chief leaves, which would probably contain the remaining 6 billion dollars, right? How did that happen?
7. Who Planned The 6 Billion Heist?
The only person who could have pulled this off is Tommy and he had left in the midst of the gbas gbos. Leaves only Emma and the French hacker.
Except, Donna(Nse Ikpe-Etim) knew how to speak French and was able to communicate with the hacker. Could it have been Emma? Why then did she leave at first?
8. Who Were The ‘Queens’? Where Did They Come From?
Who were the queens that Donna travelled all the way to Lebanon to consult with and where did they come from?
We can only hope the producers of this movie were not being held at gunpoint while producing this movie because there are many things that we truly do not understand.
