Tems to the world!

Temilade Openiyi, better known as, Tems has been taking her world by storm since she broke into the music scene in 2018. She has since then, continued to prove that she is a force to be reckoned with and a global one at that.

The years have seen her go from that new kid on the block to a multi-award winning artist with a handful of international collaborations to her name. Some of the big acts she has collaborated with include Khalid, Wizkid, Drake, Future, Davido, Justin Bieber, only to mention a few.

In June, Tems was nominated in three 2022 BET Awards categories; Best International Act, Best New Artist and Best Collaboration (with Wizkid). The BET Awards is one of the most anticipated annual award shows in America and the world at large. Established in 2001 by the Black Entertainment Television (BET) network, the award show celebrates black excellence, i.e people of colour who have excelled in their fields over the past year. The awards cut across music, acting, sports and other fields of entertainment.

Being recognised enough to fetch not one but three nominations was already a big win for Tems. The award show which was held on the 26th of June at the Microsoft Theatre in Los Angeles saw Tems emerge winner in two categories.
