Four gadgets that will blow your mind away!

The most fascinating thing about human evolution is how we have been able to keep inventing things to solve our problems. This is especially so in the tech space.

Here are 4 unbelievable tech devices that you’ve probably never heard about but actually exist:

1. The Telescope Of The Vera C. Rubin Observatory

This telescope is still under construction and is likely to be completed next year. It is going to be the biggest telescope in the world and also double as the world’s biggest digital camera.

The telescope will have a 3,200-megapixel camera embedded in it. To put that into perspective, the world’s largest smartphone camera is around 50 megapixels. The telescope will be producing 20 terabytes of data every night by scanning the night sky over 800 times to create images over a wide range of spectral wavelengths.

The images produced by the telescope are supposed to help experts track asteroids, stars, and maps of over 20 billion galaxies.

Insane right?

2. The XRAI glass

Lately, we have been seeing the introduction of smart glasses into the tech ecosystem although it is not mainstream yet. We recently saw Ray-Ban partner with Facebook to make smart glasses that can connect to your Facebook account.

Well, a company named XRAI decided to take the initiative to make smart glasses that do even more incredible things than taking pictures. They recently announced the launch of their technology that allows users who are deaf or suffer from hearing loss to read speech in real-time through closed captioning using a pair of AR smart glasses.

When someone that is deaf puts on the glasses and they have someone talking in front of them, the glasses will automatically begin to translate what the person is saying in real-time for them to read.

Amazing right?

3. An Eco Samsung TV Remote

A few years ago, Samsung created a TV remote that could be recharged using indoor light, or outdoor light using a super cool USB. This year, Samsung took the idea of the remote a step further and unveiled something called the “Eco remote”.

Now here is the freaky part, this new version of the remote can charge itself by harvesting power from the radio frequencies generated by other devices in your house. So if you have Wi-Fi routers, this remote will harvest power from them to charge itself.

The how? Well according to Samsung, the remote will collect radio frequency and then convert it via a power-management chip into electric energy to charge itself. I’m still trying to wrap my head around this one.

4. The Pozio Cradle

Do you sometimes have this weird feeling that apps are listening to you in real-time? Where you can be having a conversation (offline) with someone about a certain product in one minute and being barraged with marketing ads on your phone in the next minute? Well, this piece of tech solves that problem.

The Pozio Cradle is a listening blocker that also provides wireless charging for smartphones. It is the world’s first phone charger that prevents eavesdropping. It uses certain technology that works in the background to prevent the always-listening microphones in smart devices from hearing private conversations. All you need to do is place your phone in the cradle and it begins to charge and also blocks the always-on microphone to protect your privacy.

This one sounds pretty useful.
