Victor Osimhen in red-hot form!

The World Cup is less than 30 days away now and the congested league fixture list before the break in November is finally wrapping up. Honestly, it is not looking good for some clubs.

In the Premier League, Liverpool’s shambolic season continues as they fell to another shocking defeat to Leeds. It was their second defeat in consecutive games this season after they lost to Nottingham Forest last week. It is Liverpool’s fourth loss of the current Premier League season.

Chelsea followed in Liverpool’s footsteps as they also lost scandalously 4 goals to 1 to Brighton and Hove Albion. It was Graham Potter’s first league defeat as Chelsea manager and it came against his former club.

Newcastle United’s impressive form continued as they mauled Aston Villa by 4 goals to nil. Newcastle now sits comfortably in 4th place on the league table. Tottenham managed to conjure a spirited comeback from 2 goals down to defeating Bournemouth by 3 goals to 2. Manchester City were without star striker Erling Haaland but they still managed to get all 3 points against Leicester City.

Arsenal’s breathtaking start to the season isn’t stopping anytime soon as they destroyed Nottingham Forest by 5 goals to nil. Arsenal has lost just 1 game in the league this season and they sit comfortably at the summit of the Premier League table.

Manchester United look like a rejuvenated side as they managed to secure their 5th clean sheet of the season in the league as they defeated Westham United 1 goal to nil. The goal was scored by Marcus Rashford who celebrated a milestone, it was his 100th goal in a Manchester United shirt since breaking into the first team years ago.

In La Liga, Barcelona managed to get a last-minute goal from Robert Lewandoski to defeat Valencia. Atletico Madrid were defeated by Cadiz 3 goals to 2. It is their third loss this season in the league. Real Madrid are still unbeaten in the league but they were held to a 1-1 draw by Girona. Sevilla tasted defeat again and this time at the hands of Rayo Vallecano.

In Serie A, Napoli are flying as they defeated Sassuolo by 4 goals to nil. Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen scored a hat trick in that game. He has now registered 7 goals and 1 assist in 8 games for Napoli this season. Juventus returned to winning ways with a 1-0 win against Lecce. Inter Milan dismantled Sampdoria by 3 goals to nil.

Atalanta defeated Empoli 2 goals to nil. Nigerian Ademola Lookman got a goal in that game for Atalanta. Salernitana shocked Lazio by defeating them 3 goals to 1. Torino also shocked AC Milan by defeating them 2 goals to 1. Jose Mourinho’s Roma defeated Hellas Verona by 3 goals to 1 to move into the 4th spot on the table. Napoli are top of the league and 6 points clear of second team Atalanta.

In Bundesliga, Bayern are back to their best as they mauled Mainz 6 goals to 2. Borrusia Dortmund also claimed all three points in their game against Frankfurt. League leaders Union Berlin made sure they defeated Borussia Monchengladbach to retain their top spot on the table.
