Take charge of your mornings!

It’s been said that morning is an important part of the day because how you spend your morning can often tell you what kind of day you are going to have. Regardless of who you are and whatever stage you are in life, a healthy morning routine is essential to your success.

By simply following this 8-step technique you can be sure to to increase productivity and win the day. Here are some critical components of a great morning routine.

8am

1. Get a healthy 7+ hours of sleep: Once you have a nightly goal based on the hours of sleep that you need, it’s time to start planning for how to make that a reality.

2. Meditate: Meditation is practiced across the globe in many religions and cultures. Some use it for stress and relaxation, others use it to clear their minds, and some use it to awaken and deepen their connection to something greater than themselves.

3. Exercise: Morning exercise has many health benefits. If you have a hard time sticking to a routine, move your workout to the first part of the day.

4. Consume 30 grams of protein: A 30 gram protein breakfast first thing in the morning prevents a blood sugar crash in the middle of the day and keeps your metabolism buzzing all day.

It also aids in the development of lean muscle mass, meaning the more muscle you have, the more calories you burn when sitting at your desk.

5. Take a cold Shower: If you’re having trouble getting out of bed in the morning, take a cold shower. When showering, you should alternate between cold and warm water, even if it’s difficult. You’ll be surprised at how quick it awakens you.

The cold water stimulates your body’s circulation, resulting in a greater need for oxygen. You instantly begin to breathe more deeply, which helps to combat weariness.

6. Listen to/read uplifting content: In order to wake up cheerful and motivated for the day, we all need some positivity in the morning. No matter how difficult it is to discover good things to read in the morning rush, make a determined effort to read them.

7. Review your life vision: Taking stock of your life’s visions will help you launch into the day with vigor and zest.

8. Do at least one thing towards long-term goals: In your own life, how do you define success? Where do you want to be in ten years? Taking everyday action toward your long-term objectives may be a great tool for guiding your life in the direction you desire.

A long-term objective is one that cannot be attained overnight but rather requires consistent work over time.
