Are you still looking for a bank job?
Motivational speakers with the “Don’t work hard, work smart” mantra seem to have won this round. The most common jobs in Nigeria often come with more work hours, less pay and less sleep. This brutal truth is enough to do anyone’s head in. Not to mention all the time and effort spent getting a degree.
The Tribe wants a soft life for you. So here are 7 jobs that will keep the credit alerts coming while you remain well rested.
1. House Sitting
Imagine being paid to live in a fancy house. Quite similar to babysitting, only that you will be looking after a house instead.
House sitting is a service usually required by the elites. They employ people to stay and tend their houses when they are away or too busy to live in it.
2. Window Cleaning
This is not beginner level window cleaning (like people that forcefully do ‘perf perf’ on the windshield of cars during traffic). Are you there? It is the advanced level window cleaning: where you strap your belt and make your way up a skyscraper then proceed to clean its windows and other glass surfaces.
Hope you aren’t afraid of heights sha?
3. Personal Shopping
Being a Personal Shopper is another odd but well paying job. Imagine earning a living by shopping for other people. I mean, these are things you do for yourself–by yourself; why not earn a few bucks while at it?
You will be amazed at all the things people want to buy but are too busy or lazy to go out to get.
4. Embalming
You get mind? If yes, consider earning a living from the dead. In Nigeria, burials are expensive but widely celebrated. People often need time to gather Obi Cubana type of funds to give their loved one a befitting burial.
That’s where morticians come in, they preserve the dead while their lit burial pends.
5. Pet Care
Owning a pet may be cute and fun but it comes with a lot of work. Pets require attention–a lot of it. This explains why some pet owners pay people to do their dirty work for them. Pet sitters take the pets on walks and potty breaks. They even groom and provide companionship for the pets.
With this job, you get to maintain your fitfam lifestyle while stacking those dollar notes.
6. Mourning
Let’s face it, some people are just not criers, nothing can move them to tears–not even the death of a loved one. Hence, the need for paid mourners. These professionals know how put on a good show and can be trusted to take the wailing to another level.
With the handsome pay they get, it’s no wonder why they are always extra.
7. Zookeeping
Money lies in the jaws of a lion. . .and many other animals, it seems. If you feel you can tame a lion, whisper to snakes and keep a good rapport with the other deadlies, why not try zookeeping?
If not that we are not plenty in my family, what is a lion that I can’t tame😏?
