Breakfast shall not be served!
The dating scene isn’t all fun and games, sometimes it’s tears and breakfast. You’re exposed to a wide variety of men–the good, the bad and ugly.
This year we’re treading carefully and saying no to heartbreak; which is why we have enlisted the types of boyfriends you should steer clear of in 2022.
1. The Selfish Guy
If you’re dating someone who puts his wants first, shows little interest in your affairs and thinks he’s the best guy on earth; chances are that you’re dating a selfish and arrogant person.
While confidence is seductive, being with someone who has an exaggerated sense of self and who is unconcerned or troubled by your wants and desires is not. Stay away from boyfriends like this in 2022.
2. The Liar
When you’re dating a liar, he’ll frequently make promises he can’t fulfill, fabricate stories that aren’t genuine, and keep you in the dark about who he is.
You must be able to trust your partner in order for your relationship to thrive. Dating someone you can’t rely on and who isn’t honest with you is difficult and can be emotionally draining.
3. The Player
When you genuinely adore the person you’re dating, you’ll feel compelled to take things to the next level. If you’re dating a player, though, there may never be a next level. Players aim to make your connection shallow, which is why they are typically evasive about their whereabouts and disregard the thought of introducing you to friends and family.
If what you’re searching for is a long-term, committed relationship, it’s about time you let go of the player you’re with and join yourself with someone who shares your desire for a deep, meaningful connection–someone less ‘playful’ (wink).
4. The Guy Who Makes No Effort
Relationships are supposed to be symbiotic, both partners need to put effort to ensure that the relationship thrives. If you’re the one always doing the calling, having to set up the arrangements, and regularly feeling like you have to do everything to keep your relationship alive, then something is wrong.
If a guy is uninterested in spending time with you, it’s time to find someone else to spend your time with.
5. The Emotionally Unavailable Guy
If you want to have a deep and meaningful relationship then you have no business being with an emotionally unavailable man. He may never open up to you or allow himself to be vulnerable.
Your relationship will never advance if he keeps you at arm’s length and never lets his guard down around; you will never get to know the true person he is on the inside.
6. The Control Freak
Has the person you’re dating ever told you can and cannot talk to certain people, or what you can and cannot wear? Controlling males want to dominate and intimidate you, and they are frequently envious and suspicious of your other connections.
They try to keep an eye on you at all times of the day. If you’re being bullied or controlled by the person you’re dating, it’s essential to stop communicating with him right away, as this is a form of abuse.
