We blame Judas Iscariot!
Trust issues don’t grow overnight. People tend to develop trust issues after countless disappointments and betrayals from the people.
If you or a loved one can relate to more than three of these six signs; you just might be struggling with trust issues:
1. They Count Money From ATM
Is it PTSD from being scammed or is it inborn? All we know is that there are some people in this country that believe that everything and everyone, including an AUTOMATED teller machine, wants to run them street.
Even after the machine has counted the money for them, they will still recount it.
2. They Try To Open Doors Immediately After Locking Them
People with trust issues don’t believe the sounds they hear while using a key card or a normal key to lock a door. Nope.
They will still try it again forcefully to see if the door was really locked. Na wa🌚.
3. They Add Stew To Jollof Rice
There are few dishes in Nigeria that are widely accepted both here and abroad. Jollof rice is top two and definitely not number two on that list. Yet, we have people who still request for stew on their Jollof rice.
The burnt party jollof smell wasn’t convincing enough?
4. They Refuse To Show Off Bae On Social MediaÂ
These people tell themselves the only reason they are not posting their babes on every social media platform is because they are are private people but we know the truth. It’s because they do not want to set themselves up for dragging.
They already expect the fuck-up before it happens.
5. They Always Play DetectiveÂ
People with trust issues like to play detective. They look for holes in people’s stories, check their partner’s phone, and are most likely to keep tabs on the people they hold dear.
Even James Bond is still a learner compared to these folks!
6. They Wait A While Before Turning Off The Gen When Power Comes
Whenever Nepa (or in recent times, IBEDC) brings light, people with trust issues wait a while to see if it’s for real or a prank before they go ahead to turn off their generator.
This one is definitely PTSD and in the words of Bobrisky, “we are all guilty!”Â
Brethren, which of these signs are you guilty of? 🌚
