Stirring the pot of remote workers!

Let’s talk about remote workers and the drama that happens in their virtual meetings. Yes. the tribe is stirring the pot of the work-and-earn-from-home brethren and how things are in their little corner.

Let’s see:

1. The Early Birds

All hail the Asakes of remote jobs as they never waste time. If they had chosen to work on-site, they’d be the boss’s favourite. Judging from the way they jump on meetings, swimming oceans to avoid getting late to an on-site job would be a piece of cake.

An employee of the year, body go soon tell you!

2.  The Latecomers

It is always one thing or the other for these people. Today, they are in transit. Tomorrow, they are low on power. Do they have power banks? No, sir. They don’t. Generator nko? Still on it.

Sigh, Mr Gabriel, please explain in corporate terms what you thought remote jobs are about. Thanks.

3. The Ones Who Always Have Nothing To Say

One would think that the reason for a meeting is to share ideas but these comrades beg to differ. All they know how to do is put their mics on mute while “their” employees give them feedback on everything.

4. The Cappers

It is their voice you will hear from the beginning of the call to the end of the call, dropping unverified but hot teks. I mean, nobody is saying you should not talk- it is way better than keeping quiet- but please, moderation is key.

And try not to cap. Thanks.

5. The Ones With Bad Network

This set of remote workers is up there with the latecomers. You would think people living under the rocks know better than to take remote jobs. No oh. The love of money will not allow them to breathe.

In the end, they will bring both deserving and undeserving people into their network palaver.

6. The Utopian Guy

We should be grateful to these ones though, for selflessly channelling their inner Mr Macaroni and Sabinus for the sake of peace. Virtual meetings are a war zone-constant urge to bite each other’s heads off in virtual meetings is always high.

They are the real MVPs.

#TheGoodStuff serves up some light reading 2 shots of humour and a dash of sarcasm. This edition highlights six types of remote workers on virtual calls.
