Your village people are not why you’re always bloated!

Bloating simply means your stomach feels fuller than usual (to the point of discomfort). It is usually because there is a lot of gas in your stomach or intestines.

Wondering why you are always bloated? Most of the time, it is as a result of your food choices. I know, I know. You did not come to this life to suffer, and you must chop. Bloating can be avoided most of the time though.

Keep reading to learn what causes it and how it can be prevented:

1. Eating Too Much

If you like, call yourself a “foodie” all you want. Everybody likes enjoyment, but that does not mean you should eat till you feel bloated. A tip to prevent bloating is to avoid eating till you are very full.

2. Drinking Too Much Soda

Sodas are filled with gas. We know it’s not “no soda month”, but you need to reduce your soda intake especially if you get bloated a lot. Also try reducing beer and champagne, as they have a similar fizz that sodas have.

3. Constipation

You must have probably read/heard this somewhere before. By the way, constipation is a situation where it is difficult for you to stool.

Guess what causes it? Yep, your diet. To avoid this, try increasing your intake of fruits and vegetables. If you still don’t see changes, it’s time to see your doctor o.

4. Your Period

If you are a woman, one of the many (many many) things you might experience during your period is bloating. You’re probably thinking, who did we offend in this life?

Your hormones are responsible for this. There’s pretty much nothing you can do about it, but some people have sworn that the following make them feel a lot better: drinking lots of water, exercising, and avoiding processed foods.

5. Eating Too Much Salt

Salty foods can increase the way your stomach retains water. This just means you would unnecessarily feel fuller. Nobody is telling you to start cooking food without salt but remember, moderation is key.

6. Late-Night Eating

I remember some people joking about our stomachs not having a closing time. It’s true though, but your stomach and other parts of your digestive system are less active when you are asleep. So, don’t be surprised when you wake up and feel really uncomfortable and bloated.

Try to dey chop early, you won’t die!
