Young stars to look out for in the World Cup!
At the last World Cup in 2018 hosted in Russia, we saw a whole lot of exciting young players show the world what they were capable of skillfully and one of them even got the chance to lift the trophy with his country. At the 2022 Qatar World Cup, we are even going to see more youngsters and most of them are pivotal to how their teams will play.
Here are six youngsters to watch at the Qatar World Cup starting next week:
1. Jude Bellingham
He is already touted to be one of the best young midfielders in the world currently and he is just 19 years old. He already has 3 league goals for his club Borussia Dortmund and has scored 4 goals in the Champions League.
He will represent England at the World Cup and he will be hoping to help the three lions clinch the title.
2. Jamal Musiala
He is one of the most talented young players in the world. He currently plays for Bayern Munich and this season he has registered 9 goals and 6 assists in the league alone.
He had an opportunity to represent England but he chose to represent Germany and now he has been called up for his first-ever World Cup.
3. Pedro Gonzalez (Pedri)
The Barcelona wonder kid is still just 19 years old but it feels like he has been playing for a decade already. He won the Golden boy award for the best young player last season and he also won the Kopa trophy.
He was part of the team that got Spain to the semifinals of the UEFA Euro 2020 and also the final of the UEFA nations league semi-final 2022. He is another player to keep an eye on for this tournament.
4. Youssoufa Moukoko
Another exciting young player will represent Germany at the Qatar World Cup. He is having an outstanding season for Borussia Dortmund as he has scored 6 goals and recorded three assists in the league this season. He is just 17 years old and it is his first-ever World cup selection for Germany.
He is one of many youngsters in Germany selected for this tournament.
5. Pablo Gavira
Another Barcelona youngster rising through the ranks and he is just 18 years old. He already has a couple of stints with the Spanish national team and he has been selected for the world cup in Qatar.
He won the 2022 Golden boy award and the Kopa trophy respectively.
