Which smartphones exceeded expectations?
Every year, phone manufacturers release new smartphones with different specifications than the previous ones. This year hasn’t been any different.
In 2022, we have seen a whole lot of smartphones both high-end and low-end. Some of them have the most ridiculous and unbelievable specifications ever.
Here we will list out five of the best smartphones we have seen this year and their specifications:
1. iPhone 14 pro max
The biggest flagship phone from Apple this year. It is the best in terms of specifications among the iPhone 14 lineup. The iPhone 14 pro max comes with a new pill-shaped notch called the dynamic island which has a lot of functionalities.
It also has an always-on feature infused into the display when the phone is locked. It has a huge 48MP camera at the back and a new chip (The A16 bionic chip) also built into it. It also has a 6.7 super retina XDR OLED display and a 4223 MaH Battery.
The most impressive feature is the emergency SOS satellite feature which gives you the ability to use a satellite to contact emergency services in case you’re in a place with no cellular coverage.
2. Google Pixel 7 pro
The biggest Google flagship smartphone this year. It was released with the Pixel 7 and pixel 6a. It has a 6.7 LTPO Oled display and it is ip68 water-resistant. The design of the phone isn’t so different from the last flagship the Pixel 6 pro. The Camera visor for the 7 pro is larger and it has a metallic build. It houses the tensor G2 chip from google and comes with Android 13 out of the box.
It has a ton of cool AI features like reducing background noise during calls, sharpening blurry pictures even ones not taken on the pixel, translating or transcribing full conversations to text etc.
The Pixel 7 pro also has a 5000 Mah battery. It has a 50MP main camera, a 12 MP ultrawide camera, and a 48MP 5x telephoto camera.
3. Samsung S22 Ultra
According to most smartphone enthusiasts, the phone should probably have been a Note but it’s not. The S22 Ultra is Samsung’s highest flagship for 2022. It has integrated into it a stylus pen that has a whole lot of functionalities.
It comes with ip68 water resistance and a Gorilla victus on the back and front. It has a 6.8 inches AMOLED display that is ultimately curved around the edged of the phone. It also comes with an Exynos 2200 chip for some markets and a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset for other markets.
The S22 Ultra has a 5000 Mah battery and it also houses a unique 108MP main camera with a 10MP x3 telephoto camera and another 10MP X10 periscope camera. It also has a 12MP ultrawide camera.
4. XIAOMI 12T PRO
This is one of, if not Xiaomi’s major flagship for 2022. It comes with a massive 200MP main camera and a top-notch high res AMOLED display also. It comes with a high-end chipset too, the snapdragon 8+ gen 1 chip.
The phone has a pretty big battery and also comes with a 120watts power brick which enables lightning-fast charging.
5. Oneplus 10 pro
Another high-end smartphone that was released early in 2022. It has a rather unique design with the four cameras at the back slightly etched to one angle. It has a 6.7 inches LTPO AMOLED display and it is IP68 dust and water-resistant.
It comes with a Qualcomm snapdragon 8 gen 1 chipset and also has 5000Mah of battery life. It has a 48MP main camera, an 8MP telephoto camera, and a 50MP ultrawide camera.
